About Us
A drive for safe, intersectional, intergenerational 2SLGBTQIA+ community in Eastern Washington and North Idaho is at the core of everything we do. We strive to create virtual and in-person community spaces, build a culture of care, commit to advocacy and allyship, provide education and facilitation services to organizations / individuals, and fill gaps that arise through pop up events.
MISSION
Spectrum advances equity for 2SLGBTQIA+ people through community care, advocacy,
education and collaborating with community groups and individuals who aspire to our
values.
VISION
Spectrum exists so that 2SLGBTQIA+ people are welcomed, accepted, and celebrated
in all spaces. We envision a world where 2SLGBTQIA+ people thrive in community,
where people are loved, respected, and free from harm.

Meet The Team

KJ January (she/they)
Co-Executive Director
KJ was born and raised on the East Side of Spokane. Through their work after college, they were able to witness the adversities facing many within the Spokane community. This allowed her to find creative ways to advocate and amplify the needs of those in need. They strongly believe that the power is in the people and are very passionate about creating a more inclusive and accessible future for all. When she’s not in various board meetings trying to overthrow the powers that be, she is reading, watching tv, doing Karate, or playing basketball.
