Spectrum’s Education Team provides queer-specific cultural fluency trainings throughout the Inland Northwest to educate others on the specific needs and concerns of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. By educating the broader community, we help ensure that all spaces are not just safe, but affirming for 2SLGBTQIA+ people. The members of our facilitation team are skilled, experienced, and represent a range of identities and backgrounds.
Our education services are also Spectrum’s revenue stream, serving the queer community in three ways:
Providing support to organizations in order to improve the quality of services and interactions for their employees and clients.
Paying people within our community for their expertise.
Providing income to support our programs.
In addition to workshops, we have consultants who can work with you to meet the unique needs of your organization, staff, and clients through coaching and customized training. Contact us to learn more!
Current offerings include Working with 2SLGBTQIA+ Communities, Creating Equity through Chosen Names and Affirming Gender Identities (a pronoun training), and Intersections of Identity. Click here to view our workshops!
